Lily Castik whirls into town intent on tracking down the author of her favorite novel, convincing him to let her convert his novel to a movie, and heading back to Hollywood in time to walk the red carpet at her latest movie. Instead of the quiet, introspective intellectual she imagined, Jed Stykes turns out to be a pool-playing, beer drinking, loner who is not inclined to let a Hollywood starlet butcher his story.
